THE GACP •July 28, 2008 •
I got word that the GACP will be having a meeting again tomorrow and will be discussing about the sanctions to be imposed. Due to the demand of several members of the public, I am writing this to bring sanity to the brains of the class presidents of our school.
The GACP imposes sanctions through voting which almost all students know. The reason why I’m posting this “FACT” is for all to know the real reason why I’m sharing this. I received word from a very trusted source that there are several class presidents who are voting for a 10 page paperjog. It takes quite a lot of time and effort to make paperjog. 10 Paperjog??!! Are they crazy?! If they put themselves on the position of all students and they will know what its like to make a paperjog. Those people are crazy! Here’s another situation, there are some class presidents who suggested that the 100 peso fine and paperjog should be imposed and so it was. The one who suggested it said to his classmates “Uyy! Guys! 100 pesos na gud ang fine” What they don’t know is that he’s the cause of it all. These people are really putting students in a terrible position. They have no idea what its like. If they make a survey of what students really want to have as a fine, then they will surely know what it is. And I’m guessing that there is a huge probability that students would want to have a monetary fine. Everyone has their priorities and the GACP should respect that. Being absent to visit your family is already a good excuse. Though it may not warrant for a excused absence, it can make the family members happy to have that person around despite the fines he/she is going to pay. One more thing, they wanted all absentees to write excuse letters. Its quite stupid when most students go absent because they just don’t want to attend which will always be a unexcused absent. Why can’t they just make those students write the letters only with valid reasons. Just because you have the position does not give you the right to make students suffer and that does not make you exempt you from being stupid. To all class presidents, you have been elected as a class officer because your classmates trust in you to be the representative of the class. Do what is good for your classmates and not because of influence from other people in the GACP. Vote for something that is not costly yet effective! And DO NOT BE STUPID!
This picture describes what those class presidents who give out stupid suggestions.
